CASH FOR CANS CAMPAIGN DRAWS FIRST MAJOR DONOR
Keeping the Sudbury Food Bank Stocked Recently Dan Xilon, Executive Director, Sudbury Food Bank, asked Sudburians to consider making a cash donation to the food bank in lieu of donating non-perishables.
“During this unprecedented time of physical distancing to stop COVID-19 from spreading, we’re all experiencing big changes to our normal daily routines,” said Xilon.
“But the need for the Sudbury Food Bank hasn’t changed. In fact, we are already seeing more people turn to us for assistance as their jobs and businesses have been put on hold.”
“That’s why we issued a special appeal for cash donations. I’m happy to announce that our first major donor has already stepped forward as a result of our call for help.”
On March 25th Brian Doyle and Blake Didone, co-owners, Doyle Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Inc. in Sudbury made a donation of $10,000.
“We are all in this together and we want to do our part as a local business that has been supported so greatly by our community. Without that support we would not be able to make this donation, especially in these times. If you or your business are able to help, please give however you can,” said Didone.
