First and foremost, thank you for being part of the hunger solution in our city. As you are reading this, someone is having a hot meal because you cared enough to donate. A family is able to pack lunches for the kids, and the kids are able to start their day with breakfast before heading out the door. An elderly person has a nutritious lunch to help give them strength. A single dad is getting groceries to get him through the final few days of the month before his pay cheque comes in.
These are real situations faced by real people in Greater Sudbury, and without your continuous support, The Sudbury Food Bank would not have enough to go around. It’s a big task that requires a lot of help from volunteers, our staff, our business partners, and the community. I’m so proud to be part of this organization and part of the solution, and you should be proud as well to be part of a city with heart to help it’s most vulnerable citizens have a better quality of life. That just makes the city better for everyone.
