Weed Man’s 3rd Annual Grassroots Giving Food Drive is Here!
From September 7 to October 30, 2026, Weed Man customers across Sudbury have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference for local families facing food insecurity.
For the third year in a row, Weed Man’s Grassroots Giving Food Drive is bringing communities together to help stock local food banks with the items families need most.
Last year, Weed Man customers and employees across North America donated an incredible 108,000 pounds of food, providing nearly 90,000 meals for people in need. Here in our region, Weed Man partnered with the Sudbury Food Bank and the North Bay Food Bank to collect more than 1,100 pounds of food, helping support local families during challenging times.
This year, Weed Man is aiming even higher, with a goal of collecting 110,000 pounds of food across North America.
How You Can Help
If you are a Weed Man customer, participating is easy:
Watch for a text message or email reminder before your scheduled lawn care service during the campaign period.
On the day of your service, place your donation of non-perishable food items outside your front door, preferably in a box or bag.
Your Weed Man technician will collect your donation while completing your lawn care application.
All donations collected locally will be delivered directly to the Sudbury Food Bank.

Other non-perishable, shelf-stable food items are also welcome.
