Sudbury, ON-Local restaurateur John Law is launching his latest culinary venture.

Lot 88 Steakhouse & Bar parallels his other local restaurants which include Asian Restaurant, Overtime Sports Bar and Grill, Swiss Chalet (both locations), Kelsey’s, Montana’s, Fionn MacCool’s, Thai Express and Cultures where they pride themselves on being community-centric.

The steakhouse launch also coincides with our ‘Sudbury Eats’ event where 10 of his local restaurants will donate a portion of the proceeds to five local charities including the Sudbury Food Bank, Canadian Cancer Society, Health Sciences North Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sudbury and the Sudbury Hospice Foundation.

You are encouraged to support the Sudbury Eats event by visiting any of these listed participating restaurants starting September 25th and find out how you can share your love of food and community over the course of the next four weeks!

First, thank you to all the artists that have offered submissions of their work over the past years, or were chosen during the selection processes, to assist us in developing our Christmas and Holiday Gift Card Campaigns over the years.

These campaigns have been very successful and we could not have done them without your help!

Now, it is time once again for the Banque d’aliments Sudbury Food Bank (BDSFB) to extend an invitation to local artists “ in any printable medium”  to put forward a piece, if they so wish, for consideration through the selection process to have their work be the face of one of the 2017 Christmas/Holiday Cards. This year’s selection will consist of 12 Cards.  The selection will include English, French and bilingual cards, in both Merry Christmas and Seasons Greetings format.

Artists that are chosen this year will receive the following:

Recognition in all media associated with the event.

4 complimentary tickets to the Art of Dessert Evening (Value $300.00) Thursday Nov. 2 from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. to launch the 2017 Card Campaign.

And the great feeling that comes with knowing you have made a difference e in helping someone who is less fortunate!
