(SUDBURY, ON) – The Banque d’aliments Sudbury Food Bank (BDSFB) was thrilled to receive a generous donation of over $2200 from the Retired Teachers of Ontario (RTO), District 4, yesterday.
Ronald Robert, president of the local RTO, presented the donation to the BDSFB on behalf of the teachers. Collected from members attending the group’s annual Christmas lunch, the donation will be a welcome boost to the BDSFB’s mission to ensure that no one goes hungry in the Greater Sudbury Region.

“The Retired Teachers are one of several groups that use their annual lunch as a moment to collect for the Food Bank, and I think it’s a wonderful idea. What better time to remember Sudbury’s less fortunate than when sharing a good meal with friends and colleagues. These group donations really add up and we’re very thankful for them,” said Dan Xilon, Executive Director of the BDSFB.
