With the purchase of the Sudbury Food Bank’s Holiday gift cards, you can truly make a difference in the lives of people in this community. Through the purchase of every card a holiday meal will be provided for a hungry person living in our community. It is the gift that gives twice!
Now in its 11th year, the Sudbury Food Bank’s Christmas Gift Cards has successfully tapped into the Christmas spirit and raised over $67,000.00 in cards sold last year alone. Every dollar raised was used to purchase a meal/food for someone who was hungry.
For the past four years, we’ve had artwork contributed by community artists and photographers to publish on the front of one of 13 Christmas/Holiday cards. The pieces chosen are donated by the artist and will be auctioned off at the Holiday Card launch which takes place October 25, 2011 at the Art of Dessert fundraising gala. The public is able to bid on the original artwork as well as a selection of fine wine and spirits that have been donated by friends of The Sudbury Food Bank. Every dollar raised (100%) is committed to food for those less fortunate living in the City of Greater Sudbury. The event recognizes the artists and supporters of the Food Bank. It also kicks off the holiday season and features a wine and dessert tasting.
The cards are $5.00 each. If an individual purchases 5 or more cards, he/she is eligible for a charitable receipt. There is no HST (we are a registered charity). There are English, French & Bilingual Christmas Cards and Holiday Season Cards
