CCRA Spring Food Share Challenge
Canadian Customs and Revenue Agency does its’ part to help the Banque d’aliments Sudbury Food Bank feed the Greater Sudbury Regions hungry. Each spring during tax time the CCRA term contract employees get together in teams to complete the Spring Food Share Challenge. Besides helping our areas hungry it’s also a great team building and fun activity that runs for two weeks in May. The idea came from several individuals interest in helping the areas hungry and developing a team spirit. The way it works is teams of employee’s work together to collect foodstuffs for the Sudbury Food Banks. The number of people on the team divides the amount of pounds each team collects. The team that has the most pounds of food per person wins bragging rights. The result is a friendly competition that builds solid team spirit, is fun and helps the poor in our area.
We would like to thank our community partner CRA for its organizations' interest in participating in a food drive for the Sudbury Food Bank. It is always appreciative when an organization and/or its’ agents/employees get excited about assisting us through their own merits.

Bigger and Better...
Once again the CRA has shown its commitment to our community with the Electronic Processing and Record Division Food Drive Challenge.
With an outstanding 6,484 pounds of non-perishable food items collected over the two week run it truly goes to show what successes a group effort can bring. With 3 years of the food drive come and gone we are truly surprised at how much the collective total for the past 3 years is...16,160 pounds of non-perishable food
Thank you and a huge congratulations on a most excellent job.
2007
The two week campaign collected over an unprecedented $30,000 in food value. The staff and management at CRA really stepped up to the plate and blew us away with their commitment to stock out shelves for the summer months.
